What is
hypnosis and hypnotherapy?

Hypnosis is best understood as a method of using verbal and non-verbal techniques to bring an individual into a suggestible state of consciousness. Being in the hypnotic state allows statements and beliefs to be more easily accepted, increasing the chance, rate, and depth of learning new ways of thinking. 

The hypnotic state is characterised by a high degree of attention, focus, and relaxation, along with the suspension of analytical thinking. This allows the hypnotised client to access greater cognitive flexibility and entertain new ways of thinking and approaching the problem they have been grappling with. In the case of hypnotherapy, this entails learning new, helpful beliefs in order to displace the unhelpful, obsolete beliefs that are keeping you stuck in cognitive-behavioural patterns that are leading you to seek professional help.

01The Intake Form

Filling out the NHC intake form allows me to quickly assess whether I am able to provide assistance or whether I need to refer you to another professional/therapeutic modality that would be better suited for your particular case and needs. If I am able to help, filling out the intake form thoroughly will make the consultation process much smoother and allow us to spend more time discussing matters that are most important and relevant to you. 

02 Free Consulation

After you fill out the intake form, I will reach out to you with a link to book a free video consultation where we can further discuss your current issue, make clarifications, carry out a few imagination exercises, and answer any questions you may have about hypnosis, hypnotherapy, and my practice.

03 Tailored Treatment Plan

After the consultation, I will type out a personalised treatment plan that is tailored to the information you gave me in the intake form and consultation. You will get a chance to review the treatment plan and get back to me with any comments or suggestions. However, I stick closely to professional standards of what I can and cannot ethically say.

04 Your Hypnosis Sessions

Finally...time to get hypnotised  ​  Most uncomplicated issues will require 3-5 sessions. There are longer and longer time intervals between sessions in order to allow the new beliefs to 'sink in' and be informed by your daily lived experience. I want you to see the beliefs in action for yourself, which will deepen your learning and your new way of being in the world. The treatment plan and sessions will be modified based on your new experiences, challenges, and life updates. I do not drag on treatment longer than required. My aim is to get you out of my client base as soon as possible so you can go live your life. Come see me again if you need me!
