My Story
I've lived and studied in Mumbai, Kolkata, Singapore, Toronto, and London, as well as attended several international schools. My travels in Asia and Europe have been equally formative. These experiences have given me a strong sense of the unique issues that come with nomadic, immigrant, and multicultural backgrounds, while solidifying my ability to connect with people from a diversity of socioeconomic situations. My upbringing, along with my education, have been crucial in allowing me to see where our psychologies intersect and the common missteps that lead to our suffering regardless of who we are.

I started PSYCHOSOMA...
In order to bring together the often misinformed and misguided effort to cultivate the mind and body separately. For example, the ecology of practices and philosophies within yoga are often reduced to just the asanas (physical postures). At worst, the asanas are equated to 'exercise' and 'stretching', removing the most valuable aspects of mindful embodiment and breath that are central to its role in personal growth and transformation. In western settings, the development of the mind is often restricted to psychotherapy and the acquisition of knowledge. Our embodied and psychosomatic nature is barely being encouraged, developed, and repaired except through the work of outstanding teachers, somatic therapists, and academics in the mind-body space.

My Approach
As a neurodivergent, semi-nomadic immigrant who has learned to flourish despite the challenges of ADHD and a shifting sense of home, I bring my authentic experience to our sessions. I am very much a work in progress and I am not shy about letting this fact be known to my clients. The trials and joys of self-transformation are the journey of a lifetime and I am here to grow alongside you. Our work together is a co-crafting and co-emerging process. We will try things, fail at some things, succeed at other things, and through it all, we...will...learn.

I'm not here to heal you. I'm here to gently nudge you to where the healing or change may be needed. If I have one aim in my practice, it is to show you how resourced you already are to handle the challenges before you. When you feel out of your depth, I’m here to support and guide you to shallower waters.
